Excerpt from The Essene Gospel of Peace Book One 38-41

Jesus said, 耶穌說,

"It was said to them of old time, 'Honor they Heavenly Father and thy Earthly
Mother, and do their commandments, that thy days may be long upon the earth.'


“遠古的先民們被告誡道, 榮耀你們在天上的父和你們俗世的母親，並且要守他們的戒命，那你們將可長久活在這地上 。'

And next afterward was given the commandment, 'Thou shalt not kill,' for life
is given to all by God, and that which God has given, let not man take away.

而後緊接著就受了這條戒律,你們不應殺生'，

因為所有的生命都是上帝所賜，而上帝已給的，不可讓人奪走。

For I tell you truly, from one Mother proceeds all that lives upon the earth.


我實話告訴你們，地上一切的生命都孕育自同一個母親。

Therefore, he who kills, kills his brother. And from him will the Earthly Mother
turn away, and will pluck from him her quickening breasts.

因此，那殺生的，就是殺了他的弟兄。 且那俗世的母親也將背轉臉去,並將她那生命的乳汁從他口中拔出。

And he will be shunned by her angels, and Satan will have his dwelling in his
body.

而天使們將遠離他，撒旦將附住在他體內。

And the flesh of slain bests in his body will become his own tomb.

那些被殺的動物肉在他的軀體內將變他成自己的墳墓。

For I tell you truly, he who kills, kills himself, and whoso eats the flesh
of slain beasts, eats of the body of death.

我實話告訴你們，那殺生的，就是殺自己，而且任何人吃那些被殺動物的肉，就是在咬死神的軀干。

For in his blood every drop of their blood turns to poison;

因為每一滴動物的血在他的血裡都變成毒藥；

in his breath their breath to stink;

它們的氣息在他的呼息中都發臭；

in his flesh their flesh to boils;

它們的肉在他的肉中都成疔瘡；

in his bones their bones to chalk;

它們的骨頭在他的骨頭中都變成粉末；

in his bowels their bowels to decay;

它們的腸子在他的腸中腐爛；

in his eyes their eyes to scales;

它們的眼睛在他的眼中成為污垢；

in his ears their ears to waxy issue.

它們的耳朵在他的耳朵裡如蠟般流出。

And their death will become his death.

而它們的死也就是他的亡。

For only in the service of your Heavenly Father are your debts of seven years
forgiven in seven days.

只有侍奉你們的天父，你們七年的債才會在七天內被寬恕。

But Satan forgives you nothing and you must pay him for all.

但是撒旦(意指幻想魔王)什麼都沒赦免你，而你卻必須為你所作的一切同他清付。

'Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot;

眼還眼，牙還牙，手還手，腳還腳；

burning for burning, wound for wound; life for life, death for death.'

火燒還火燒，傷害還傷害； 以命償命，以死亡換死亡。’

For the wages of sin is death.

因為為罪的報酬是死亡。

Kill not, neither eat the flesh of your innocent prey, lest you become the slaves
of Satan.

不要殺生，也不要吃那些無辜的被掠食者的肉，以免你變成撒旦(意指幻想魔王)的奴隸。

For that is the path of sufferings, and it leads unto death.

因為那是痛苦之路，它通至死亡。

But do the will of God, that his angels may serve you on the way of life.

而服從上帝的旨意行事，那他的天使們就會在你生命的路途中侍奉你。

Obey, therefore, the words of Gd: 'Behold, I have given you every herb bearing
seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which
is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.

遵從吧，因此，上帝才說:‘看哪，我已賜給你們遍地上一切結種子的蔬菜和一切樹上所結有核的果子； 這些都應是你們的食物。

And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to everything
that moveth and liveth upon earth, wherein there is breath of life, I give every
green herb for meat.

至於地上的走獸和空中的飛鳥，並各樣爬在地上有生命的物，我將青草賜給它們作食物。

Also the milk of every thing that moveth and liveth upon earth shall be meat
for you; even as the green herb have I given unto them, so I give their milk
unto you.任何爬在地上有生命的物，它們的奶也可做你們的食物。

正如我把青草賜給它們為食，我也把它們的奶賜給你們。

But flesh, and the blood which quickens it, shall ye not eat.

但是肉，和裡面的鮮血，你們不能吃。

And surely, your spurting blood will I require, your blood wherein is your soul;

否則，我一定會索要你噴涌的鮮血，因你的血就是你靈魂的所在；

I will require all slain beasts, and the souls of all slain men.

我將索要所有殺戮的動物，和所有殺戮之人的靈魂。

For I the Lord thy God am a God strong and jealous, visiting the iniquity of
the fathers upon the children unto the thrid and fourth generation of them that
hate me;

因為我——你們的上帝，是一個強悍和嫉妒的神，我會因那些父輩所犯的罪而懲罰他那些憎恨我的子孫，直至三四代。

and show mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

而對那些愛我且持守我戒命的，我將垂憐他們直至千萬代。’

Love the Lord thy God with all they heart, and with all they soul, and with
all thy strength:

用你們全部的心；全部的靈；和全部的力量來愛主——你們的上帝:

this is the first and greatest commandment.'

這就是第一的且是最重要的戒律。

And the second is life unto it: 'Love thy neighbour as thyself.' 接下來第二條就是：‘要愛人如愛己。’

There is no other commandment greater than these." 再沒有其他比這兩條更重要的戒律了。”
